“Officer Hardman rendered invaluable aid to my wife and myself…while we were floating on the Niangua River in South Central Missouri. Our kayak had capsized, dumping my wife and myself into very swift, deep water.

For a time, my wife was trapped under the kayak underwater, and I was unable to get onto the bank to come to her assistance. This officer responded as soon as he could to my cries for help and kept her head above water until we were finally that we were our float. able to pull her on shore. Then after ascertaining okay, he helped us back into our kayak to finish

In my opinion, he epitomizes the concept of “TO PROTECT AND SERVE.”
